Cookie Policy
Last updated: October 27, 2026
This Cookie Policy explains how Brutal Noise uses cookies, localStorage, and IndexedDB on brutalnoise.net and brutalnoise.bg. For details on how we handle personal data, see our Privacy Policy.
What Are Cookies?
Cookies are small text files stored on your device by your browser. We also use other browser storage mechanisms (localStorage and IndexedDB) that serve similar purposes. Together, these let us remember your preferences and keep the site working properly.
Essential (Always Active)
These are required for the site to function. They cannot be disabled.
| Name | Type | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| better-auth.session_token | Cookie | Keeps you signed in | 7 days |
| brutalnoise-cart | localStorage | Stores your shopping cart items | Until cleared |
| brutalnoise-builder-v2 | IndexedDB | Caches your CD builder progress (images & settings) so you don't lose work | Until cleared |
| brutalnoise-cookie-consent | Cookie | Remembers your cookie preference | 1 year |
| NEXT_LOCALE | Cookie | Remembers your language preference | 1 year |
| cf-turnstile-response | Form token | Protects public forms and checkout from spam and automated abuse | Single use |
Analytics (Require Consent)
Everything in this section loads only if you click "Accept All" in the cookie banner. Nothing of it runs, and nothing is sent to these providers, before you accept. These tools help us understand how visitors use the site and fix errors.
| Name | Provider | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| _ga | Google Analytics | Distinguishes unique visitors | 2 years |
| _ga_* | Google Analytics | Maintains session state | 2 years |
- Vercel Web Analytics and Speed Insights — page views and performance metrics. They set no cookies.
- Sentry — error and performance monitoring. When an error happens it also records a session replay with all text masked and media blocked. It sets no cookies; while it runs it keeps a temporary identifier in your browser's session storage, removed when you withdraw consent.
The "Report a problem" form is separate: it sends only what you write and submit in it, and works without this consent.
Managing Your Preferences
- Cookie banner — use the banner at the bottom of the page to accept all, allow only essential, or customize your choice.
- Cookie settings — change or withdraw your consent anytime via the "Cookie Settings" link in the site footer.
- Browser settings — you can block or delete cookies through your browser settings. Note that blocking essential cookies will prevent sign-in and cart functionality.
